With an LOA of 26'11" and an 8'6" beam, the 255 is a sturdy offshore vessel that can be powered by single or dual outboard engines. Its sheerline has been raised at the bow to allow for a recessed walkaround while providing plenty of cabin headroom.

For fishing, the 255 features port and starboard horizontal rod racks located above standard stainless-steel toe rails that offer stability when boating or releasing fish. Each gunwale features a downrigger weight holder.

Port and starboard fishboxes offer a combined capacity of more than 480 quarts, while an optional "Fishing Package" provides buyers with a convertible livewell. (The integral portside transom storage compartment converts to a livewell with light and raw-water fill.)

The Fishing Package also includes fishbox pump-outs, raw-water washdown, two tackle drawers, cockpit coaming bolsters and three additional stainless-steel rod holders.

The stern bench seat folds flush to the transom when fishing, and an aft in-deck hatch provides unobstructed access to systems including bilge pump, batteries, switches, transducer mounting location and oil reservoirs.

A walk-thru transom door with a stainless-steel latch allows easy access to the platform and to the telescoping stainless-steel swim ladder. A retractable freshwater shower hose is located in the stern.

At the helm, there's room for flush-mounting electronics. Standard mechanical features on the 255 Conquest include hydraulic tilt steering, recessed trim tabs, navigation lights, an electric horn, a pressurized 20-gallon freshwater system and interior and cockpit lighting.

The walkaround features a non-skid surface and is flanked by a welded stainless-steel bow rail for more secure access to the anchor and to the bow seating area.

From the bow, the cockpit is accessed via molded fiberglass steps located port and starboard. Aft-facing seats behind the helm and companion seats double as storage compartments. The starboard sidecompartment has a drain and is insulated to function as a cooler.

The cabin features a lockable companionway door that can be secured open. The cabin sole is two steps below the pilot deck, providing 5 feet, 9 inches of headroom in the cabin. A wet bar sink is located to port, a cushioned V-berth settee forward and a portable toilet with deck pump-out is to starboard. An optional table converts the V-berth settee into a double berth.

The 255 Conquest features Boston Whaler?s exclusive unsinkable Unibond construction and a 10-year transferable limited warranty. Its self-bailing hull can support up to 6,100 pounds when fully swamped.
