    Chris and his family own a 1995 Sea Ray 330 Sundancer and can often be found boating along the St. Croix River from the Windmill Marina in Afton, Minnesota.

    Favorite things to do on the water?

    We belong to the St. Croix Yacht Club, which has two private beaches that we frequent a lot. We will typically anchor out so that the kids can jump off the swim platform. From there we may even take out the dinghy to explore little nearby bays. We also enjoy bringing friends aboard and going for a cruise every now and then. On rainy nights, we may go aboard and stay in our slip for pizza and a movie night with our kids.

    Advice to new boaters?

    Don't be afraid to ask for advice or help from fellow boaters. Any time I have issues on the boat, any of my dock neighbors are more than welcome to help out or give advice. You will always be learning new things. I also frequent the Sea Ray forum: www.ClubSeaRay.com. TONS of information on that site!

    When was your first time boating?

    Two buddies and I took his parents' 18-foot aluminum fish/ski boat out on a picture-perfect day. We spent the whole day cruising on the river, stopping at different beaches and islands, grilling out, having drinks, and swimming. It was that day that I told myself, "This is going to be part of my life."

    We love sharing the joys of boating with our friends and family, and often remind them that they have an open invitation to come aboard our boat at any time. We are always having friends join us, having potluck dinners, and simply cruising around!
