When hanging decorative lights, double-check the power source can be safely handled by your on-boat battery or generator. Also, keep these high above the water line, just like the star at the top of a Christmas tree! Learn more about using generator power with Boating Tips Using Shore Power.
Looking to bring an inflatable second mate on board? Make sure to properly secure any inflatable decorations and position in places with least wind resistance. Reindeers may fly, but your inflatables shouldn’t!
Lastly, always designate a driver to get your aquatic sleigh back to the marina safely. Check out additional safety tips with this helpful guide.
