Bring the Necessities

There are no groceries out on the water, when you’re taking a long trip offshore or even to another country, you may not have access to certain items, be sure to pack these. Items like medicine, toilet paper, food, drinks and personal care items should be at the top of your list.

Tools and Parts

Just like the items listed above, you may not have the ability to just take your vessel down to your local MarineMax for care and maintenance, you have to play mechanic. Keeping certain parts, tools, and manuals on your vessel is important so that in the event of a mechanical hiccup, you can easily take care of it and move on.

Safety

When boating, safety should always be paramount. In this case, you want to be sure to have your lifejackets, create a float plan, a personal locator beacon, flares, radio, a first aid kit and other similar items. Boating is fun and should be enjoyed, but it is also a responsibility, so preparing for unforeseen circumstances is an important part of your trip.
