MarineMax Fort Myers Hosts United Way Annual Circle of Excellence Awards

MarineMax Fort Myers announced that they are pleased to have just hosted the United Way Leadership Reception and Annual Circle of Excellence Awards. The award ceremony recognized the top contributors amongst companies that give $100,000 or more to the United Way Campaign. This year's event was the 60th annual awards ceremony for United Way.

Those in attendance included Tom and Linda Uhler and Loiu Pontius, the United Way Campaign Chairs,  Cliff Smith, President of United Way, and Jeannine Joy, Vice President for Resource Development and Marketing.

“What a wonderful place to have a reception and presentation of United Way’s Circle of Excellence Awards! Thank you MarineMax for making this a very special evening at your beautiful facility", Cliff Smith said.

Since 1957 when it was established, United Way has raised and distributed over $157 million. All of the money raised goes to helping the human service network in the local community. Along with raising money, United Way works to collaborate with other agencies to help in many ways such as nursing children, strengthening families and assisting those in critical conditions. The goal is focused on improving lives and doing so within our immediate community first. 

MarineMax Fort Myers was excited to put on this event to support a great cause and is excited to see the change United Way will continue to make in the community.
