Meet Bob Burke | Galeon Brand Manager

After a long weekend in the Bahamas with a group of Galeon Yachts owners, Bob and Lisa recap the itinerary and why sharing the boating lifestyle is essential. We kick off this episode by watching the "Recapping the 2022 Galeon Rendezvous from Atlantis" video from the MarineMax YouTube channel to preview the weekend's festivities.

Day 1 | Arrival in The Bahamas

On Thursday, June 9, 2022, with seventeen boats total, the flotilla approached the channel to the Atlantis Marina. The smallest boat in the group is the Galeon 420 FLY and the largest is the Galeon 680 FLY.  With everyone docked side-by-side, the Atlantis Marina looked like a Galeon Boat Show! After everyone settled, they checked into registration, received gift bags, and joined the Kick-Off Cocktail Celebration in the Cafe at the Great Hall of Waters. Kudos to the event's sponsors, the MarineMax staff and their collective 150 years of service experience that helped with the trip.

Day 2 | Amazing Race & Dock Hop

Friday, June 10, 2022, began with a Group Breakfast Buffet to fuel up before embarking on the Amazing Race which included a series of challenges stationed around the Atlantis property. It was an excellent opportunity to achieve your step count for the day and explore different places on property that you might typically get to see. The winner received a portable Dometic Cooler to keep aboard their boat. Everyone took a break for lunch and to get ready for the evening's events.

We met at the Leading Lady in the evening to begin our "Dock Hop" walkabout, where we christened three boats. It was an emotional time as we toasted to safe travels and new friends. The cocktail challenge followed shortly after, where we sampled creative concoctions and mingled with each other on the docks.

Day 3 | Explore Atlantis & Ruby Red Gala

After two full days of activity, the group had a free day to explore the property. Atlantis has a lot to offer, including a Golf Course, Dolphin Experience, Water Park, Pool Cabanas, Shopping, and a Fitness Center.

The final evening began with cocktails on the deck behind The Royal tower with a live saxophone player to set the mood. Shortly after, the Junkanoo Rush performers came through and livened things up before we all sat down for dinner. The Ruby Red Gala concluded with a DJ and dancing and toasting Galeon's 40th Anniversary.
