MarineMax Team Members Recognized for AMI Certifications

CLEARWATER, FL (February 3, 2023) – The Association of Marina Industries (AMI) recognized MarineMax team members Heather Mess for her CMO (Certified Marina Operator) certification and Cody Bartro with his CMM (Certified Marina Manager) certification at their annual Conference and Expo in Daytona Beach, FL.
Heather Mess, National Marina Manager, comments, “I am honored to be recognized, this training program was very informative, and I am excited to incorporate all this important information and training into future projects with our marinas nationwide. I’d like to thank the AMI for organizing their annual conference and expo to educate and connect marine professionals. It is a wonderful experience to bring our industry together.”
CMMs and CMOs are marina professionals who have completed an extensive training and certification process through the AMI Training Institute and support the continuance of education and training for themselves and those who work within the marina industry.
On January 30, AMI hosted three comprehensive pre-conference educational events as well as a marina and boatyard study tour before the opening reception in the exhibit hall. The three educational sessions include a workshop on leadership, team building, and coaching; a seminar on the fundamentals of running a successful marina; and the docks and marinas course, conducted in partnership with the University of Wisconsin. The conference concluded on February 1, featuring a variety of keynote addresses, educational sessions, networking opportunities and more.
