MarineMax Dedicates Their 6th Habitat for Humanity Home
CLEARWATER, FL (May 23, 2023) – MarineMax is dedicated not only to making a difference on the water but off the water as well. With this being the sixth straight year, MarineMax has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco to sponsor a home for a deserving family.

This year's home dedication took place on May 16, for the Jimenez family. Karin Jimenez is a single mother. She has an 11-year-old son, Josiah. "The last two years has been a life of instability, which has been a new journey for both of us," Karin explains. After many months of hardship, Karin applied to the program to hopefully stop the cycle of instability and provide a safe and affordable home for herself and her son. Karin was accepted into the program, and she was filled with joy. They look forward to creating lifelong memories together in their home as a family.
Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco helps low-income families purchase a house with a zero-interest mortgage to help build generational wealth and equity for families, breaking the cycle of poverty. Recipients participate in educational seminars to set them up for success and work alongside sponsors to accrue 350 to 450 "sweat equity hours." A decent home offers families the strength, stability, and independence to thrive. Habitat for Humanity houses are accessible in all 50 states and more than 70 other countries through donations and volunteer efforts.
