MarineMax Supports The 51st Annual AHC Of Central Florida Holiday Party
ORLANDO, FL (December 10, 2024)—MarineMax Orlando and MarineMax Cocoa proudly participated in the 51st Annual Holiday Season Party hosted by AHC (Autistic Handicapped Children) of Central Florida. The event at The Pines at Windermere brought joy and festive cheer to children with autism and varied physical and cognitive abilities.-
This marked the 12th consecutive year that MarineMax Orlando and MarineMax Cocoa partnered with AHC of Central Florida, continuing a tradition that began decades ago as Parker Boat Company. Several MarineMax employees volunteered their time to help make this heartwarming event a success, further reinforcing the company's commitment to the community.
The event hosted 39 schools and 1,103 children, offering a magical day filled with activities, including guided pony rides, supervised boat rides, hay rides, games, bounce houses, cookie decorating, face painting, music, and visits from theme park characters. Santa made a special appearance, delivering gifts to each child.
MarineMax Orlando provided Harris Pontoons so the children could enjoy supervised boat rides on the lake. This unique experience was a highlight of the day, offering children an unforgettable adventure on the water.
Philip Davidson, MarineMax Area Manager, comments, "Being part of the AHC Holiday Party is an honor and a tradition we hold dear. This event embodies the spirit of community, bringing smiles to so many children and their families. The joy that time on the water can bring is truly special, and we are proud to share that experience with these amazing children. We were thrilled to once again support this incredible cause alongside other volunteers and sponsors."
The AHC of Central Florida has hosted the annual Children's Holiday Party since 1973. It has grown from a small gathering in a backyard to a massive event that accommodates up to 1,500 children annually. The organization relies entirely on volunteers and donations to make the event possible, providing a day of joy and inclusivity for the children who deserve it most.
