MarineMax Kent Island Welcomes New General Manager

KENT ISLAND, MD (July 1, 2024)— MarineMax Kent Island welcomes Michael Herron as their new General Manager. Michael brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to our team. Michael comments, “I am thrilled to join the MarineMax Kent Island team and bring my passion for boating and commitment to excellence to this team. I look forward to working with such a dedicated group of professionals and to helping elevate the customer experience to new heights.”

Michael grew up in Pittsburgh, and after moving to Maryland, he embarked on a distinguished career in the automotive industry. He began his journey with Volvo of Annapolis, where he quickly established himself as a leading figure. Following his successful tenure at Volvo, Michael was recruited by Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis. Since 2010, he has served as the General Sales Manager, during which time he significantly expanded the sales and service teams. Under his leadership, Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis became the top-producing store in the DC/Baltimore metro area. In addition to his professional achievements, Michael has always been passionate about boating. He is the proud owner of a Sea Ray 300 Sundancer and a 410 Sundancer, as well as various jet skis and runabouts. Michael resides on the eastern shore of Maryland with his wife of 29 years, Darcie, their daughter, Brenna, 18, and their son, Connor, 20.

MarineMax Kent Island is the area’s authorized Aviara, Azimut, Galeon Yachts, Bertram Yachts, Cruisers Yachts, Ocean Alexander, Aquila, and Scout boats dealership, conveniently located at Narrows Point Marina. Their new facility has a beautiful in-water display, a 50-ton travel lift, an indoor shop space, an outdoor showroom, a large, roomy office space, and even a customer lounge with marina amenities.
