MarineMax Fort Walton Beach and Eco Clean Marine Team Up for Spectre Island Clean-Up
FORT WALTON BEACH, FL (February 20, 2025)— MarineMax Fort Walton Beach is joining forces with Eco Clean Marine on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Spectre Island. This collaborative clean-up initiative aims to remove marine debris and restore the island's natural beauty, ensuring a healthier ecosystem for future generations. A second clean-up event is also scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, providing another opportunity for volunteers to contribute to this important cause.

The event will take place from 8:45 AM to 10:30 AM at Spectre Island. Volunteers will engage in activities such as removing marine debris, including nets, fishing lines, bottles, and other pollutants, and sorting and categorizing collected waste while assisting with safety and organization efforts. Harris Pontoons will be available to transport volunteers to and from the island from MarineMax’s location and assist with the clean-up efforts, making accessibility and participation even easier for all involved. Participants are encouraged to join this meaningful initiative, which provides an opportunity to contribute to environmental conservation, enjoy the island’s scenic beauty, and connect with like-minded individuals dedicated to protecting the Gulf Coast’s waterways.
MarineMax is also proud to be recognized as a Fish Feeding Sponsor, where their brand will be acknowledged with their logo displayed on a selected Fish Feeding machine. This recognition highlights MarineMax’s valued support for marine life and community education, helping to promote awareness of conservation efforts and the importance of protecting our natural resources.
MarineMax will provide essential tools such as gloves and buckets, though participants are welcome to bring their own equipment. As a token of appreciation, each volunteer will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a special prize. The winner will be announced following the clean-up effort.
