Participants will receive expert instruction in docking, navigation, safety procedures, and boat handling—giving them the confidence to take the helm.
“Islamorada is known as the Sportfishing Capital of the World, and boating is an integral part of life here,” says Tommy Brashares, Sales Manager at MarineMax Islamorada. “By offering the Women on Water class, we are providing local women with the knowledge and skills to enjoy boating safely and independently, whether for fishing, cruising, or family adventures.”
The Women on Water class is part of MarineMax’s broader mission to introduce more people to the boating lifestyle and ensure that everyone feels comfortable and capable on the water. Islamorada’s vibrant boating culture and close-knit community make this program especially impactful, helping women take full advantage of the Florida Keys’ world-class waterways.
