One way MarineMax proudly honors our veterans is through our annual Barrel Boss Wake Surf Competition, which goes far beyond trophies—it directly supports Wake for Warriors, a remarkable organization dedicated to creating a unique path to healing for wounded veterans and their families. Wake for Warriors harnesses the power of water sports like wakeboarding and wakesurfing to help veterans recover physically and emotionally, transforming these thrilling activities into therapeutic experiences. By participating in Barrel Boss, you’ll raise awareness and contribute to Wake for Warriors' mission of providing life-changing experiences for our nation’s heroes. It’s more than a competition—it’s a chance to make a real difference.

If you’d like to take part in showing your appreciation, below are a few suggestions to show gratitude and honor those who served:

• Support a local veteran-owned business by making a purchase or sharing a message of gratitude on their social media page.
• Volunteer or donate to your local American Legion or other charities such as the Wounded Warrior Project.
• Surprise a friend, family member, coworker, or neighbor with a coffee or lunch.
• Visit or show you care by spending quality time with a veteran.

• When recognizing a veteran or someone in uniform, thank them for their service.
• If possible, take a veteran out on the water. Go fishing, waterskiing, or even enjoy a leisurely cruise along the shore.
