Training Spotlights

Over the past couple of months, MarineMax Vacations has partnered with HHLSCC Marine Studies Department, Centre for Applied Marine Studies (CAMS) & Nanny Cay Resort & Marina to offer the Marine Technician Workshop Series. This educational series is aimed at enhancing the overall knowledge of technicians with the latest updates within the industry on systems and repairs. The workshop series started in March and runs through the end of April 2024.

Classes consist of the following:

• Volvo Penta: Basic Marine Diesel Engine Maintenance, Service and Repair
• Teledyne Marine Systems featuring Raymarine by FLIR
• Advanced Outboard and Mercury Systems

Phil Underwood, MarineMax Fleet Support Manager, comments, "We are honored to support the technical proficiency of marine technicians in the BVIs. Along with our partners at Nanny Cay, our commitment to providing exceptional service extends beyond our charter guests, but to the wider maritime community in the BVIs as well. By offering these tech workshops, we aim to help support those looking to expand their knowledge and elevate their skills. This will contribute to safer and more enjoyable guest experiences across the entire charter industry."
