Azimut Grande Trideck Wins 2022 Miami Innovation Award

CLEARWATER, FL (March 9, 2022) – MarineMax wants to congratulate Azimut Yachts on their impressive win at the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show for the 2022 Miami Innovation Award. This award is one of the industry’s most prestigious honors recognizing marine manufacturers and industry suppliers who bring new and innovative products to market. Innovation is a critical component of the Azimut brand. The Grande Trideck was honored in the Cabin Cruisers, Motor Yachts, and Trawlers category.

“With the unique raised mezzanine deck, Azimut adds to and redefines outdoor living on a yacht,” said judge and co-chair Zuzana Prochazka.

The first triple-decker and largest boat built by the brand, the Azimut Grande Trideck, features three decks (as it’s named) and a fourth floating deck known as the Sea View Terrace, which appears suspended in the air almost seven feet above the water. The Sea View terrace offers the owner four cascading terraces onto the sea, unique in function, size, and flexibility, and a testament to Azimut’s innovation capacity.

The Azimut Grande Trideck offers creative design solutions such as the full-beam sky lounge and unique construction. The combination of the D2P® hull and carbon superstructure significantly improves performance with modest tonnage despite the generous interior volume.

The 2022 Miami Innovation Awards were presented during the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show’s Industry Breakfast, presented by the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation, held at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The award holds significant value as American manufacturers presented it to an Italian brand. The judges’ committee comprised seven Boating Writers International members who performed product testing throughout the year and specialized in marine products and equipment. The judges’ committee included Ben Stein (Chair), Zuzana Prochazka (Co-Chair), Alan Jones, Lenny Rudow, Gary Reich, Frank Lanier, and Ryan Gullang.
