Brandon Flaherty

Brandon’s obsession with yachting began as a young boy in the early 1980’s in Lighthouse Point, Florida. His family owned numerous Sea Ray yachts and Hatteras motor yachts and traveled the Bahamas every summer, ingraining an eternal love for yachting and the industry.

Brandon has held a Masters Merchant Marine Credential (Captain License) since 1999 and logged in excess of 2,500 days at sea as Captain aboard yachts ranging from 60’ to 120’+. He has covered the entire eastern seaboard of the United States, the Bahamas, Cuba, Mediterranean Sea, Gulf of Mexico (Texas to Dry Tortugas), and nearly all of the inland river systems from Cincinnati, OH to Mobile, AL as well as the Great Lakes. His vast experience and understanding of the utilities that different yachts have to offer, have made Brandon an expert at fitting his customers into yachts matching their needs.

Brandon began his yacht sales career as a Licensed Yacht Broker with a well-known yacht brokerage in Ft Lauderdale in 1996. In 2004, he opened a private yacht brokerage and charter management company and acted as the employing broker of record. During this time, he developed relationships with multiple yacht builders and contracted builds of numerous yachts in addition to being a dominant force in resale, charters, and yacht management of large yachts in his territory. In late 2014, Brandon joined MarineMax to combine his knowledge and talents with the strength and quality yacht brands MarineMax has to offer.

Brandon and his wife, Kristina, have boy and girl twins. They share Brandon’s passion for yachting and spend most of their free family time traveling aboard their yacht.
