Gus was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He earned a B.A. in International Trade and a Master’s degree in Economics. During his college years he took on a job at the Port of Buenos Aires, where his passion for the water and boats began. He was awarded through his work in Customs with postgraduate studies in Business at UCLA, and he moved to California in 1997.
He moved to Miami in 2000 and his love for the water ultimately led him to MarineMax in 2004. Gus wanted to know everything about the boating industry and was willing to start from the bottom and work his way up. He began his career with MarineMax Miami first in the Service Department, moved on to Parts, Boating Gear Center, and finally into Yacht Sales. Gus is a Florida-licensed yacht broker and Member of the International Yacht Broker Association. His expertise on Azimut, Galeon, and Sea Ray yachts, as well as Scout and Grady-White boats, is his best pedigree.
His dedication and drive comes from delivering the highest quality of personalized service to his clients and building long-lasting relationships. He commits himself to the process before, during, and after the sale, and he is a firm believer that sustainable growth comes from the repeat business. “I love my job and MarineMax has given me the opportunity of a lifetime, I will always be grateful to this company and to my customers that make me feel everyday part of their families,” Gus says.
In his leisure time, Gus enjoys spending time traveling and boating on his Scout with his wife, Sheila, and their two dogs, Rocco and Louis, their beloved rescue.
