MarineMax, the world’s largest and most trusted marine retailer, and
Benetti, one of the world’s most influential yacht and
superyacht manufacturers, have had a very successful relationship for decades. MarineMax Yacht and
Brokerage Sales Executives whose customers desire the finest custom-built yachts with Italian craftsmanship and style turn to Benetti to guide them successfully through the superyacht ownership process. This symbiosis has created a rapport between the two companies that is based on like-minded values and principles. Over time, Benetti and MarineMax executives have discussed developing a more formal relationship.
Further cementing the relationship, MarineMax acquired the Fraser Yachts from the
Azimut | Benetti Group, the parent company of Benetti in order to dramatically increase MarineMax presence and strength in the superyacht category. Fraser is the world’s leading full-service yachting company, and its brokers and staff are universally acknowledged to be the unrivaled experts in luxury yacht services. With over 160 employees and 20 offices around the globe, it is the largest luxury yacht service provider in the world. Services include yacht sales, charter, yacht management, crew and construction, specializing in yachts over 30 meters. For the last seven years Fraser has consistently sold more superyachts than any other brokerage company.
Recently a group of MarineMax’s top executives traveled to Viareggio, Italy to meet with the Benetti executive team to work through the future partnership between the companies. Chief Revenue Officer Chuck Cashman, Vice President of Yachts & Brokerage Bob Fritsky, Yacht & Brokerage Sales Executive
Scott Roberton, and Senior Sales Executive
James Corts met with Benetti CCO Sabastiano Fazzia and his team.
Moving forward, MarineMax will be the exclusive Benetti agent for all of North America. With the benefit of having an existing working relationship, it was easy for the two sides to determine how contracts and interactions will be handled going forward. They spent time getting to know the involved parties across different disciplines, including marketing, project management, engineering, design, and decor.
In addition, the MarineMax team worked with Benetti Construction Manager Andrea Moschese and team to option out three Benetti Yachts for MarineMax stocking purposes: a 95 Delfino, a 116 Mediterraneo and a 125 Veloce.
“For Benetti, building yachts means carrying on the tradition of innovation, style and quality that has shaped the company’s approach and culture,” offered Bob Fritsky. “It means Benetti maintains an obsession for quality control while meeting the highest level possible. Benetti continues to diversify production in order to satisfy the increasingly complex needs expressed by owners throughout the world.”
The whirlwind trip was completed in less than 72 hours, with both companies departing with a deeper understanding of each other's goals and ambitions, as well as a closer bond between their leaders. A true win-win, or vincere-vincere.
